How to Take Herbal Powder
Some herbal prescriptions are provided in the form of concentrated herbal powders. These are prepared following consultation and prescribed for individual use.
Dosage & Frequency
- Herbal powders are usually taken twice daily.
- Each dose is pre-measured and sealed individually for accuracy and convenience.
- Please take one dose each time, as advised.
Timing of Intake
Herbal powders are generally recommended after meals, depending on individual digestion.
- Take the powder 30 to 60 minutes after eating, according to comfort and tolerance.
- It is not recommended to take herbal powders on an empty stomach, unless specifically advised.
Preparation Instructions
- Empty one sealed dose of herbal powder into a standard-sized mug.
- Add approximately 150 ml (half a mug) of boiling water.
- Please take care when handling hot water to avoid burns.
- Using a teaspoon or chopsticks, stir continuously for at least 10 seconds until the powder is fully dispersed and no visible particles remain.
- Allow the herbal tea to stand until it cools to a comfortable drinking temperature.
- Stir once more before drinking, then consume the herbal tea while warm.
Temperature Guidance
- The herbal tea should be taken warm, not cold.
- If the tea cools down before drinking, gently reheat it using a water bath or other gentle warming method.
- Do not use a microwave to reheat herbal medicine.
- Avoid drinking the tea when it is too hot for safety issues.
